IPU CET (Indraprastha University Common Entrance Test) is the university-level entrance exam conducted by GGSIPU to offer admissions into various UG, PG, and other programmes offered by the university and its affiliated colleges.
MCA/MCA(SE)
1. (i) Passed BCA/B.Sc. (Computer Science) /B.Sc.(Information
Technology)/B.Voc.(Software Development) or equivalent
OR
(ii) Passed at least 03 years Bachelors Degree with Mathematics/
Business Statistics/Operation Research or equivalent etc. at 10+2 level or
graduation level.
The equivalence shall be decided by a committee constituted by Dean,
USICT.
2. The applicant must have obtained at least 50% marks (45% marks in
case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the qualifying
examination.
Note:
1. In case any Board/University awards grades instead of marks, the
calculation of equivalent marks would be based on the procedure
prescribed by the Board /University awarding the qualifying degree.
Document regarding the conversion must be provided by the candidate
itself.
2. In case a University does not have any scheme for converting CGPA
into equivalent marks, the equivalence would be established by dividing
obtained CGPA with the maximum possible CGPA and multiplying the
resultant with 100.
Admissions Criteria:
The admission to МСА/МCA(SE) will be on the basis of NIMCET/CET/CUET# in following order of priority:
1. NIMCET
2. CET (If Seats remain vacant after admission through NIMCEТ counseling on the basis of merit of NIMCET, the University will consider admission in MCA/MCA (SE) on the basis of CЕТ.
3. The vacant seats after exhausting the merit list of CET will be filled through the merit list of CUET#.
Note: The applicants, if admitted, may have to study additional bridge courses as per the norms of the University.
