IBPS SO Eligibility Criteria

The IBPS SO eligibility criteria are different for recruiting candidates to different positions. There are three parameters: citizenship, age limit, and educational qualification.

  • A resident of India
  • A subject of Nepal
  • Tibetan refugees who came to India before 1st January 1962 and have planned to settle in India permanently

IBPS SO - Admit Card, Result & Cut-Off

IBPS SO Admit Card

The IBPS SO admit card will be released 10 to 15 days before the exam date. The admit cards for Prelims, Mains, and Interview will be released separately at www.ibps.in.

The admit card for the Preliminary Exam will be released for candidates who have applied. The Mains admit card will be released for candidates who have qualified the preliminary test.

IBPS SO Exam Result

The IBPS SO result will be released after each phase of the exam is successfully conducted. A cumulative score of the Mains exam and the Interview is considered to prepare the final merit list. The Prelims exam is qualifying to shortlist candidates for the Mains exam.

The merit list is prepared in descending order of marks obtained by candidates. Candidates who make it to the merit list will be given the appointment letter by the bank of the candidate’s choice.

IBPS SO Exam Cut-Off

The IBPS SO cut-off will be released after each phase of the examination is conducted. The cut-off for the preliminary exam will be released first, followed by the cut-off for the main exam. Candidates can evaluate their selection chances by matching their score with the cut-off marks.

Age Limit

A candidate is required to be a minimum of 20 years old to be eligible for the exam. The maximum age limit is 30 years. Candidates belonging to reserved categories are given age relaxation by the Government of India.

  • IBPS has introduced separate sectional timing for each section in the prelims exam. The preliminary examination has a total duration of 120 minutes and 40 minutes for each section.

Preliminary Exam Syllabus

IBPS SO Preliminary Exam is the primary selection round of the IBPS SO Exam. Candidates who clear the preliminary exam are eligible to appear for the mains exam. The Preliminary Exam comprises three major sections: Reasoning, English Language and Quantitative Aptitude / General Awareness with Special Reference to the Banking Industry (For the post of Law Officer and Rajbhasha Adhikari).
